ANIMATIONS Ars Electronica | Patchlab digital art festival

The Ars Electronica Animation Festival in Linz has been a pillar of the September Ars Electronica festival program since 2005. The program includes a wide variety of shows and a variety of animation events. It is an overview of current trends in the field of digital animation around the world, presenting specific strategies and unique points of view. The review of the awarded works in 2021 is a diverse selection from the border of animation, art and technology – outstanding films submitted to the category Computer animation Prix Ars Electronica 2021.
The awarded animations are presented on Friday and Saturday in two blocks: Electronic Theater and Young Animations.

The screenings of the awarded animations of the Ars Electronica Animation Festival are presented thanks to the cooperation with the Austrian Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs.
